Today our dear Kalle has gone over the bridge. He was our very best leaddog,
Champion of show and working. We will always remember you Kalle. Thank you Annica
and Nisse that we had the opportunity to have him here at Villaborg.
His genes are in all our Polarullen dogs and we are so happy for that.

I am very sad,out two pups died.We had to do and acute cesarian section the 13th, one
was dead and the other died soon after delivery. She did not start deliver and the vets
told me to wait (it is often that just a few pups wait on their delivery), but it was to late,
the pups did not survived this long time in the uterus. Taiga is doing well until now.

I did ultrasound today on the day 24th after mating and Taiga is pregnant,I saw 4-6 small
amnionsacks. We are very happy for that!So if everything goes OK they will be born at about
the 5th of May.

It is some time since I did update my webbside. Era is growing and get as long legs as her mother Pistage.

The 10th I went to Norway and Melhus (220 km from here) for the Polardogshow.I just took Bolchoj
with me.I knew that a lot of his "pups" from his two norwegan litters were coming.

Bolchoj went together with 4 of his pups in the breedinggroup.It was difficult to chose 4 of the 7
beautiful pups.Anyway you can see all of them here under.

The 24.4 I starded the long journey of about 1000 km to south Sweden with Pistage.Our first stop were in Falun for the new eyecheck, she had good and clear eyes! Then we went futher south to Skene and Liselotte,Thomas and the pup Olina.The next day it was the polardogshow in Vaggeryd and there we met Christina with Dexter and our second pup of Taiga, Olga.For both girls it was the first time in show and they did it very well.Olga was the best pup in breed!

After the show I went with Christina futher south to Önnestad, near Kristianstad.
The next days Dexter just observed Pistage and the at the 29th he found her ready for mating!

Today we got a visit from Astrid and her daughters and ofcourse Olga!
They are on holliday 200km from here! We are so glad that they came
all the way to us for the visit!Olga is a tall girl,long legs just like mom Taiga.
She is very social and playful.She had a wonderful day here together with all our dogs!

Last thursday we came back home after a very nice week in Furudal.It was the yearly
samoyedweek with race and show!It was a very cold week,we got much snow and even
sun.In the Nordic Samoyedrace for 6 dogs Wouter was the third and ad the Polardog 2.
That ment tha Alosha had all his tests for the Swedish polardog championship
S(Polar)CH.In the race were also Ilya,Bolchoj, Pistage and Yepa at lead with Barusi.

At the show Yepa got her first price, Pistage was in the championclass and got a CK
and was the best female of champions.Bolchoj was the best male in the Championclass with CK.

This weekend we went 30 km south to the Polardograce.Wouter got the second place
in 2 x 30 km with Ilya, Alyosha,Bolchoj, Pistage, Barusi
and Yepa.PDP(polardog working title) made Yepa,Barusi, Bolchoj and Pistage.

Now are our young girls Pistage and Yepa are "workingdogs"! The 16th we went to
Nederhögen 130km from here to a meeting with the greenlanddogclub.
It was very cold and the first day it was -28 degrees C when we left our house.
Later in the day it got a "bit" warmer -22.
The dogs went 2 x30km (2 x 20 miles about) those two days and they did it
very well in good time. 2hours and 48 minutes about boths days.

First day,in lead Pistage and Barusi (half seen),in swing Yepa and Bolchoj.....

The new year has started with lovely weather. Wouter trains the dogs at the trail every
second day about.Barusi and Pistage are the born leaddogs but even little Yepa ist that.
Now she goes at swing together with Anoushka.Our wheeldogs are as usual the two strong
males Alyosha and Ilya.

Yesterday we were at the polardogshow in Melhus outside Trondheim (Norway).Judge Carsten Grönås.
44 adult samoyeds and 10 puppies!
Pistage was BIM (best in oposit sex) she is now norwegan champion of show NUCH,this winter she will have her WS-title and then she is SUCH as well!
Yepa was the best in juniorclass and got CK (championquality ) she was the 4th best female. She is a fantastic young female so cool.

Barusi got a first price with also very good critics.

Taiga got three female pups the 26th of sept.,one was weak and died today, two days old.

The other two are big and strong.The birthweigt 655 g and 475 g!See pics under puppies.

I have checked with scan yesterday evening and there are just 3 maybe 4. Yesterday Mikkan ,me and four sams drove to Trondheim Norway(230km)for the internationel show.
We went up at 3.30 and came home at 20.00 ver tired but happy!!!

Today we got the happy news from Holland that the son of Taiga "Rurik" Marco has HD: A and his eyes are checked clear and gonioscopie without any bad notes.

Our 5 pups have opened their eyes and are walking unsteadily around in the cage.All are healthy and fine.

The pups are today 12 days and they grow all very well.Mom Varya is a fantastic mother!.

The 20.11 Varya had to have an cesarian section.She was not well at all and this was necessary for saving her life.She got 12 pups and of those we now have 5 survivers,1 female and 4 malepups.They are growing very well and Varya is a very good mother.Unfortunately she lost her uterus by the operation but...she is alive and we even have 5 healthy pups.

Our Katja av Jeni-Jamal died yesterday the 2nd in an age of only 7 years and 8 months.She was such a good sleddog,strong,vivid and never giving up.She was a Swedish polarchampion.She must have injured her lungs in a smash when Marina with 40km/hour running into her accidentely in our yard about one month ago.She would never show any weeknes as she was the alfafemale.When I went to the veterinary yesterday, they saw that she had bilateral pneumothorax but thought that she should manage it by herself without any operation! She did not she died in my car on the way home.
We miss her so much!

Internationell show at Bjerke in Oslo! Bolchoj was BIR (the best samoyed) with Cacib and got a qualifying award card (best dog, breed Samoyed) for the big show Crufts in 2008. There were total 23 samoyeds for the show and the judge was Karsten Grönås. BIM was Nuch Rajumas Foxy Ruby she got also a qualifying card to Crufts 2008. Congratulations Gro!

It was so muddy that we had mud up on our ancles and the dogs???Black legs and stomachs.

For the internationel show in Svenstavik I wanted to show three of my dogs.But just two of them still had their fur! Varya was suddenly naked and had ofcourse to stay at home!Taiga and Bolchoj was in the ring! The judge was Erna Britt Nordin. This time Bolchoj was BIR and he got his second swedish CACIB and Taiga was BIM and got her second CAC and first CACIB.In the BIG finale the judge chosed between a faraodog and Bolchoj, this time the faraodog came into the finale.I am very proud of my dogs and my good handlers Mikkan and Evelina!!!

On my way down to the westcoast I and Taiga stopped in Sveg and met Märta Svensson with my "pups" Senya and Sjimsi from the 9th litter. It was so nice to meet them all and see that the girls have develloped to very nice young dogs.Märta train them in agillity and they love it,aspecially Senya!Look at the new pictures at the girls.

Today we went to the internationel show in Trondheim,judge Britt Nyberg.17 Samoyeds should be shown but
2 were missing. Bolchoj did his best as usual,even when he had a little wound in his paw.He was the second
best male with a CAC and reserv Cacib and too he got the title NUCH (Norwegan champion of show).
Taiga did it very well indead and was the third best female with a CK (CAC-quallité).We are soo proud of them!

The 20th of may we went to the specialshow of the polardogs as well as the huntingdogs here in Östersund. Among all polardogs and other breeds there were 20 Samoyeds at the show,from us 6! Then there were four of Taiga`s litter, now juniors and one from Varya`s litter with Da Vinci.Judge was Per Nymark from Norway.

All the dogs from Polarullen did very well at the show.
Taiga´s litter got very good notes and so did our breedinggroup with Bolchoj,Barusi,Ilya and Taiga.They were the 3rd among all breeds.

Bolchoj got his 4th CAC and was the best Samoyed BIR, third in group of the polardogs.Now he has the title SUCH.

Taiga got also a CAC and was the best of the females and them BIM.

Ilya got a CK and was the second best male.

Barusi got a CK and wa the third best male.

Pistage (Sosva) got a CK and was the second best female.

Varya got a CK and was the fourth best female.

Sasha(the pup from Varya) and Repin(the pup from Taiga) got Ck with very good notes too.

There will not be any mating with Anoushka! She did not want to have Lindus as male.She is just interested in her brother Alyosha and her grandfather Kalle.So....

Instead we are going to mate our sweet,calm and goodworking Varya with Lindus instead.Her heat will be in he end of July or in the beginning of August.See planned litters.

The 13th of April and the 13th was a friday! a young bear ran about 75 m from our house towards the river!It was fantastic to sit in the livingroom watching television and suddenly we saw him outside our window! Luckily the dogs were all inside! I think it is marvellous to have wild animals around.Ofcourse we are careful aspecially when there is a female with a young bear in the neighbourhood.

The 8.3-07 did we go south for the Norwegan samoyedmeeting with show and race in Finnskogen/Kirkenaer

Like here the spring had started, snow,rain and sun through each other.The race went very well on a hard and fast raceroad.Wouter had his four boys with Katja and Anoushka.They came as number two,total 4 minutes after Kent Gundersen in the in two daysrace.Aage Volden got Varya and Taiga for his team so then he had four swedish females,he had one from Nalletorpets kennel "Oikka" and three from Polarullen. He came as number four in his class.

The 10th it was both race and show!The judge was Per Nymark. Ilya was the 3rd best male with a cert, two champion males were number one and two.
Bolchoj got a CK and was number 5 among the males. Pistage got a first price in juniorclass females with very good notes. Even Jekar, her brother got a first price with very good notes! In the show there were 44 samoyeds.

We really had a very nice and pleasant time with our norwegan friends!We will surely come back next year!

The 4.3 We had a "puppy-meeting" with the owners and their Taiga-Bamse pups!There were Raisa, Ragulin ,Repin and Rebroff! We put on harnesks and let them try the sledg with some of our old dogs. Ragulin and Repin did know how to do because Kerstin had been out with them a lot on a special swedish sledg "spark".Both Tore and Kerstin had to try the real sledg with their boys!I think they really liked it!Little Raisa thought it was not so fun, it was a bit scary to run with the big dogs!But when the team with Elin turned home she knew how to do! Rebroff was just looking for girls!!!

Today Taiga and her three sisters are three years old.Congratulations to all of you!

The 17th it was the show " the dog of the republic of Jämtland" in Östersund.All dogs that in official show had earned a CK or Cert in 2006 could join the show!
The judge was Patric Ragnarson.

It was 60 dogs and they were judged two and two after pulling a number .The best of the two went further and was judged to the other one that had won in the hite and so on!!!.So it went on and until the end they had one winner.This time it was a multichampiondog "Västgötaspets" (an old swedish rase).She was this year 2006 the Dog of the republic Jämtland.
I had Bolchoj,he had earned three Cert 2006.He is a fantastic cool dog, not a sound just nice and sweet.Mikkan did show him (as usual!). The first one he met was a 2 years old Welsh springer spaniel,Bolchoj went further in the game and the next he was shown against was a champion of 6 years, a Kerry blue terrier.Even this time he went further to the next hite.In the third hite he met a mini Pincher! Now Bolchoj was very tired,running up and down on the stage!! Look at the last two photos! Now it was his turn to rest! After this it was just 8 dogs left so I think he did it very well!I am so proud of him!

Now we have our "pup" of Taiga here, Rebroff from Norway!He will stay here for two weeks "a dog holliday" when Eva and
Klaus are abroad. All the dogs like him,but Ilya is his best friend!Rebroff is so sweet and easy to handle!

Today is Valentin Day!We have done a lot of things since last time I wrote something.The big race Nordic Open is done and Wouter with his four boys came at the 8th place (he even succeded to do an extra tour in the wood before finish).The boys are not trained to sprint but they did a good race in their tempo!
The 1.2 we went south for the Samoyedweek in Furudal.The 2.2 was the big show with in total 78 samoyeds (incl pups),aspecially there were many females and our Taiga got the price CK and were the 6th best female of 44!.Bolchoj and Pistage got HP (honorprice)and Ilya and Barusi got a second price because the judge this time found them a bit too big!

At the race Wouter participated with the four Boys, Varya and Anoushka. They came at a good third place after the fast teams of Morten Hölland (Norway) and Christer Johansson (Sweden) with Tarjas welltrimmed dogs.
The B-test 2 x 30km our 8-team did very well and went in about 13 km/hour.They were the fastest of the 6 teams. Barusi and Bolchoj are now workingdogs too.
We had a very nice week and met a lot of friends. Our Dutch friends Kora Roelofs and Hans Kuiper shared the "stuga" with us.It really as so nice to meet them again!There will surely be a lot of pictures from the week on their homepage.They did participate in the show with Polarullens Aurora and her daughter Sunshine,both females with less fur because of their period!Even though they got very good notes from the judge!They did join the race 100m in time and Sunshine won!!!Kora did go by sled for the first time with her dogs and some of ours on the ice! For Aurora and Sunshine it looked liked as if they always had done it!It was no problems at all!

Our dear friend Nurre is put to sleep today.He was from our second litter and has always been a happy but sensitive boy. He loved his sister Nadja and old brother Yitzhak. Now he will meet them on their cloud.Sleep well Nurre!
